Edu Buzzz....

Today we all are going back to our childhood days. As part of school induction  programme   I  selected Govt Model Girls Higher Secondary School  Pattom.  In the very first day we 14 girls from MTTC entered the school campus at 9:05 am and we all are excited to return to a school atmosphere again.  Then our team leader safana and our assistant leader Naveena met respected principal shrimathi Anithakumari P and and vice-principal Minimol mam as representatives of BEd trainees. We submitted the letter from MTTC  and marked our morning attendance. Then we interacted with the vice principal about class schedule, teachers of different subjects .  After waiting for some time in the auditorium we got an opportunity to meet our concerned teacher. I and naveena chechi from maths met our maths teacher Prameela mam.  Today the first class was handled by our optional teacher Deepthi mam. First stijo came to present thought for the day. Then the seminar presentation by Deepa sister about the topic Madhava Sangrama grama. Then Deepthi mam taught us about kerala curriculum framework 2007.  Maya mam taught us about the aims of education and curriculum of education. Afternoon was handled by George sir. He had taken us to ground. First we went to play cricket  and after that  we played badminton. It was a really a nice experience for us.

Today March 24 is celebrated as world tuberculosis day. First period was yoga. It refreshes our mind a lot and give us energy for the whole day. Sir showed some  meditation and taught some asanas also.It was a good start for the day. Next period was handled by Maya mam. Students of natural science has taken their seminar portion. The classes were very interactive  and  a good discussion about the topic alcohol abuse, preventive measures takes place in the class. Some of the students added their points too  Afternoon session was taken by Deepthi mam. First Shalu has taken class on the topic Arithmetic skills and it was a very simple topic too. Then mam taught us about  microteaching, features of microteaching and  what are the skills in microteaching. T hen the class  was taken by Benedict sir.   Today is an exciting day for all of us that we are going for a field trip. I reached the college around 7 am. We, the students from natural science, malayalam and maths  accompanied by Nadaniel sir and shiney mam begins our journey from MTTC  at 7 : 30 am. The aim of this visit is to  connect nature with mathematics. We had to find aspects related to maths from these places. Our first destination was Ashan smarakam located at thonnackal which carries the memories of the great poet  kumaranasan. There was a museum contains the belongings of the poet along with the manuscripts of his renowned works recites the life and also another museum  with the largest collection of mural paintings. There was also a beautiful garden containing medicinal plants maintained under the supervision of distinguished sculptor kanayi kunjiraman .  A fter that  we went to " sambranikodi" , a paradise in ashtamudi lake. Today the first period was taken by Deepthi mam.  Mam taught us about  how to write a lesson plan and also about different ways to write it. Also we keep a lesson plan of our seniors for reference. Then mam told us about the activities we have to do during the vacation time. Then the next period was handled by Maya mam. Students of  natural science has taken their seminar topic on drug abuse, effects of drug abuse and also about the preventive measures. Some students from other optional also added some points to the topic and  a goood discussion takes place on this topic.  The class was very interactive and everyone got an opportunity to express their point of view. Afternoon section was taken by Archana teacher. She discussed about intelligence and different types of intelligence. Mam told to take a piece of paper and write about how we will teach our own optional subject considering the individual difference of each student.
